Drawing, painting and sculpting have become essential tools to capture my world and express ideas. My main inspiration has always been from nature and its integral relationship with culture.

That inspiration took me to art school where I studied Graphic Design and Illustration before pursuing a degree in Fine Arts and received a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Fine Arts. After further study I gained a Master of Creative Arts and a Doctorate (PhD).

My life as a professional artist has been greatly enriched by the pleasures of sharing my skills through lecturing at universities and running workshops for schools and private institutions.

My recent coastal series records some of the daily highlights of living on the coast. Some scenes are captured in the fluid spontaneity of watercolour while others are painted using the highly detailed and difficult technique of airbrushing. All works celebrate the dynamics and magical moments of this ever changing environment I call home.
